Getting the Low Down on Top Down Marketing

What is that all about? It means working from the top of the company down and it is an awesome way to market. In this article you will learn key elements to make it a success.
Now if you are wearing a marketing hat, hold on to it tight and grasp your socks too because I am going to blow the lid of this thing and I might knock your socks off while I am at it. This is a new dynamic strategy that will help you get more money in your bank account and it is hardly ever used.
I must say that I am a huge fan of direct marketing and the biggest problem with that is knowing who to send your mail to. This can also be applies to email marketing and other forms of marketing too. When you start to mail to people, you need to make sure you are mailing to the person who can make the choice to use your service.
So how do you find out who to mail to? Simple, you call up the company and ask for the big cheese. As his or her name and tell them you want to send a thank you letter to the big boss to tell them about a wonderful customer service issue that you have had with their company. Don’t tell them, hey, I want to offer something for sale. Trust me here. Why you got them on the phone, get the owners name, the manager and the guy or girl under him or her. For example, The goal is to mail the same letter or email to three people in the same company who might be working together. It helps to get them all on the same page. Here are the steps you want to take:
#1. Decide what you are offering them. the more specific you can be the better.
#2 Make an educated guess as to who that person in charge would be.
#3 call and ask the name of that person and if there is one above him or her and if there is one above him or her. so now you have the top, middle and lower level on the pyramid. So lets say Sales manager, VP and President.
#4 mail your letters to all three of them. Make this letter personal to each one…like Dear Bob or Dear Mr. President.
we will tell you in another article why this is so powerful. Keep looking for that article. “More Low Down on Top Down Marketing.”

Hi Ben,
This is actually a really cool article, I have never really considered direct marketing, all I seem to focus on is Internet Marketing.
When I have products etc in place again, I will remember this post and try to add it to my business plan.
